Water conditioning is not removing anything from the water, not adding or treating the water. Water conditioning is a process that “changes” the water. It is a process that changes the make-up of the calcium to make it like Teflon so the mineral does NOT adhere to surfaces like faucets and showers. If you were to test conditioned water, it would still contain calcium, magnesium, iron, and chemical contaminants. While conditioned water is not filtered water, it does descale existing calcium from the internal water pipes as it goes through your plumbing system.

Nuvo H2O: Instead of removing beneficial minerals like traditional salt softeners, the NuvoH2O system binds and isolates the hard mineral ions with a process known as chelation. Once bound to CitraCharge®, NuvoH2O’s binding agent, the mineral cannot form scale. NuvoH2O also lowers the measured pH of the water to reduce or eliminate scale formation. Reduced pH makes citrate ions more effective in binding minerals, so they can’t form water scale without electricity, extra water to maintain a resin bed like a traditional water softener.
